The challenge of financing environmental protection infrastructure has never been greater.
Government officials must balance conflicting public demands for a high level of protection along with lower expenditures. Northbridge helps the public sector meet infrastructure financing program challenges. Our largest effort in this area is providing comprehensive assistance for the implementation of the Clean Water State Revolving Fund and the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund. These low-interest rate loan programs are capitalized primarily by federal funds and independently operated by the States. With over $38 billion in funds, they represent the largest environmental infrastructure program in the country. Northbridge's involvement with financing programs includes program planning and design, implementation and operation, training, publications and outreach support, and program tracking/performance assessment.
