Fiscal Sustainability Assessments
Northbridge has provided complex fiscal sustainability assessments and analysis for CWSRF programs in Guam/Northern Mariana, Puerto Rico, and Illinois. This included developing 30-year pro forma revenue projection models, rate affordability studies, and restructuring over $500 million in debt.
Management Study & Long-Term Implementation
Northbridge conducted management studies and a 5-year implementation effort to assist the Hawaii DWSRF and CWSRF programs with organizational and managerial challenges, expansion of project funding opportunities, financial analysis and management practices.
Marketing
Northbridge has been working with Oklahoma, Vermont, and Virginia on innovative solutions from the first triple-bottom-line benefits tool for the SRF programs to statewide outreach endeavors. We coordinated and facilitated a marketing retreat engaging all manner of stakeholders and designed a customized strategic marketing and outreach plan for these already impressive programs.
Priority & Affordability
Northbridge has supported the Colorado and New Mexico CWSRF and DWSRF programs by developing several prioritization models to direct financial assistance to green projects, nonpoint source challenges, and meet new nutrient TMDL requirements. We also helped Colorado develop one of the most innovative affordability models in the country.
Process Optimization Drills
Northbridge adapted a LEAN-based efficiency approach specifically tailored to the SRF environment to yield a quantitative set of recommendations designed to significantly increase program efficiency, staff productivity and the volume of financial assistance deployed to local communities. The POD has been used successfully in Arkansas, California, Hawaii, Illinois, and Oregon.
Programmatic Financing
Northbridge assisted the Alaska and Hawaii CWSRF programs with our loan tracking and financial modeling/forecasting platform, which was customized to suit each program's unique needs. Our platform enabled them to pursue a ProFi strategy with the largest water and wastewater utilities in their state.
Quantifying Benefits
Northbridge has developed customized tools to quantify the triple-bottom-line economic benefits of financing forest restoration and tree planting projects for Arizona, Maryland, and the US Forest Service. These tools allows users to easily quantify the benefits of their investments in proactive forest management and watershed projects.
SRF Program Enhancements
From drinking water to wastewater, Northbridge has led creative SRF program innovations addressing affordability for disadvantaged communities and financing strategies in California, Arkansas, and North Carolina.
