Description

Northbridge provides management consulting services to federal and state agencies. We combine strong business and analytical capabilities with deep expertise in environmental programs to help clients develop, evaluate, and implement effective public-sector initiatives.

 

For more than 35 years, Northbridge has served as EPA’s support contractor for the State Revolving Fund (SRF) program, a unique federal-state partnership that collectively forms a $250 billion water financing program covering the entire country. We also provide direct support to a growing portfolio of direct work with State SRF programs nationwide. Currently, Northbridge works with more than two dozen states to strengthen SRF operations, conduct Drinking Water and Clean Water Needs Surveys, and implement LGTS (Loan and Grant Tracking System), a leading state data and project management platform.


In addition, Northbridge supports EPA’s Nonpoint Source Program in developing and implementing strategies that expand the use of SRF financing for watershed protection and related environmental initiatives.


The Associate position will support a broad range of environmental infrastructure and financing programs. Key work areas include:

  • Water and wastewater infrastructure project implementation support

  • Governmental agency streamlining and performance enhancement support

  • Evaluation of project alternatives and environmental program strategies

  • Innovative water infrastructure financing options development and modeling

  • Development and delivery of training and outreach programs

  • Technical analysis and report preparation

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Associates work closely with clients and Northbridge senior leadership and participate in all aspects of the firm’s support for SRF and related environmental programs.


Qualified candidates are expected to demonstrate the ability to:

  • Analyze program and policy issues clearly and efficiently;

  • Conduct independent research and data analysis;

  • Prepare high-quality written analyses, reports, and presentations;

  • Strong research, quantitative, and problem-solving skills;

  • Support innovative environmental and infrastructure initiatives;

  • Interest in working at the intersection of environmental infrastructure and finance; and

  • Work effectively as part of multidisciplinary project teams.


Successful candidates are self-starters with strong analytical, writing, and communication skills. Experience with environmental programs through consulting, government, nonprofit, utility, or state program work is preferred.


An MS, MPP, MBA, or related graduate degree is preferred. Candidates with a BA/BS and relevant consulting or SRF-related experience will also be considered.


Compensation and Location

Northbridge offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package. Washington, DC area staff operate in a hybrid work environment.
